Cholesterol-busting statins ‘could mask signs of prostate cancer’

Daily Telegraph – The drugs, called statins, could potentially make it harder for doctors to diagnose the disease, one of the most common forms of cancer, according to a new study. Researchers found that patients with the cancer who were prescribed statins had “significantly” lower levels of a chemical used to tested for the disease than those not being tested for cholesterol problems.
