Discipline recommended in Air Force whistle-blower case

USA Today – The U.S. Office of Special Counsel said Tuesday it has recommended disciplinary action against three Air Force officials after concluding they retaliated against four civilian mortuary workers at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware for disclosing that remains of fallen troops had been mishandled. The OSC said it presented its findings to the Air Force after investigating the whistle-blowers’ claims. The report, which has not been released, details events that took place over 17 months in 2009 and 2010. Three Air Force officials were disciplined: Col. Robert Edmondson, former commander of mortuary affairs; Trevor Dean, Edmondson’s top civilian deputy; and Quinton Keel; former mortuary director. Read Article
