‘Racially abused’ Aussie pursues justice in European Court of Human Rights

The Australian – An Australian council worker in the United Kingdom wants to be heard by the European Court of Human Rights, after claiming he was racially abused by his British colleagues who constantly taunted him with kangaroo jokes. Adelaide-born Geoff Stephens, 49, who quit his job as a community warden for the Kent County Council, says his co-workers incessantly greeted him with “G’day, sport”, asked if his girlfriend was called Sheila and told him to “throw another shrimp on the barbie”.
